Creatures of Habitat 2011
Creatures of Habitat Days of Action 2011 was again a huge success! This was our third year of presenting the Earth Day activities to the Grade 6 students of SD63 (Saanich Peninsula). Thank you so much to the students, teachers and staff of SD63, and to our presenters, funders and volunteers!
Some feedback from the students:
- it's fun to work with friends and do something for the environment
- Native plants get saved and you we can see them growing again
- I got a great sense of achievement
- working hard gives great results, we got the roots of the blackberry bushes out
- you just feel soooo good doing work like this
- working with big tools was fun
- getting these bb roots out was hard but fun
- team work really worked
- I am surprised what we acomplished, it's great
2011 Thank You
Let kids be heroes today by caring for their local environment.
